Providing powerful feedback in the classroom: Strategies, tips, and tools from fellow educators

The ability to give meaningful, timely feedback is powerful. The #Ditchbook community discussed the Seven Keys to Effective Feedback and shared tons of resources of their own.

Feedback plays a crucial role in teaching and learning. We are constantly giving one another verbal and nonverbal feedback often without even realizing it. But giving intentional, meaningful feedback is a skill that we rely on to provide our students with checkpoints along their path towards a goal.

In an article published in ASCD.org, the late Grant Wiggins wrote about Seven Keys to Effective Feedback. These seven keys guided our discussion in a recent #Ditchbook Twitter chat as we tackled the topic of giving great feedback.

Educators shared their best tips for providing meaningful feedback along with the best tools out there to help us give feedback in a timely manner.

Check them out in the summary of this week’s chat below! Also be sure to check out this Wakelet collection to see the whole discussion.
